Matrix Resurrection - "It is Bugs! Like in Bunny"

Tonight with mom and dad we saw Matrix Resurrection ! I had wanted to see it for a while, I even asked dad to go to the cinema, but he told me that rabbits are not welcome, so we had to watch it at home.

So, armed with popcorn (mom and dad) and green beans (me) we started watching it! I must say right away that I liked the first three (although I wasn't born yet) so much!

After more than twenty years, at a time when everything is having a sequel or a remake, the Matrix saga also receives a fourth chapter. If you haven't already, watch the trailer here:

The first thing I noticed is how much this new film wants to quote the original trilogy, and at first glance it may actually seem like this, especially in the first part.

Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, Mr. Smith (some played by the same actors, others with different faces ...). All of our favourite characters are back, with their strengths and weaknesses.

At the beginning of the film, Thomas Anderson has no idea that he is Neo, he has no idea that he is in the Matrix. In this reality he is the creator of a video game called The Matrix, which has a trilogy, and which is about to release a fourth chapter (do you understand what I mean when I say that especially in the first part Matrix Ressurrection mentions the original trilogy a lot?).

Am I cute?

Thomas Anderson has constant flashbacks of his previous life, which has led to a suicide attempt and for which he is going through a recovery process with a psychologist (played by Neil Patrick Harris true story ...). The psychologist has a black cat, his name is Déjà vuDeja VuDeja Vu (I also have a black cat! She is called Chell)!

But after the first part (spent thinking about the various quotes) the film changes gear. It reminds us that it is still a film about struggle, love, hope and freedom.

History repeats itself, Zion is still standing, and the machines are still in control. What's the difference then? That machines and humans have learned to cooperate.

The film was directed by only one of the Wachowski sisters, Lana, and sees the return of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss to play the characters of Thomas Anderson / Neo and Tiffany / Trinity. Among the actors reprising their roles, we also find Jada Pinkett-Smith (Niobe) and Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnson) plus a few other decidedly strange cameos ...

Newcomers include the aforementioned Neil Patrick Harris (The Analyst), Jessica Henwick (who plays my favourite character Bugs "Come in Bunny"), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Morhpeus) and Jonathan Groff (Mr. Smith).

This scene was very intense!

In my opinion, as a house rabbit, Matrix Resurrection deserves 4 out of 5 carrots!
